Welcome to The 6th International Advanced Research Workshop on transformers - ARWtr.
T r a n s f o r m e r s have been designed and widely used to transfer energy, for
measurement, protection, electrical isolation, and signal coupling.
Much of the basic technology used in current transformers seems mature in its essence.
However new challenges has to be enfaced every day tracking new scenerios that demands the highest level of knowledge, or
even advanced concepts of transformers together with their components and equipment, expected to play
a vital role in the upcoming systems.
These International Advanced Research Workshops on transformers have proved to be a well stablished and recognised way to stimulate
exchange of practical knowledge and discussion about new trends, smart applications and practices on transformers.

The International ARWtr (Advanced Research Workshops on transformers) conferences are held every three years under auspice of
The ARWtr aim is to provide a meeting of specialist from industrial, academic and research world engaged in an intense exchange
of practical knowledge and the establishment of links of collaboration on new trends and issues of power, instrument and
high frequency transformers.
The Technical Activities consist in Oral Session where Lectures are delivered by Speakers, Poster Session where the Participants' accepted papers are presented
in the same place of Commercial Exhibition during coffee-break times, and also Tutorials on Transformer Electrical Transients & Power System Interactions are included in the Programme.
The ARWtr2019 is organising Technical Visits and Social Events. Two Technical Visits, one to the ABB Cordoba power transformers factory (shell and core types) and the another to the biggest solar stream water power plant in Europe (50 MW).
Three exciting Social Events, a reception in the Royal Stables (Las Caballerizas Reales) symbol of the authentic thoroughbred Spanish horse,
visit to the amazing The Mosque-Cathedral (La Catedral de Cordoba),
and ARWtr2019 Banquet in the emblematic Royal Circle of Friendship (Real Círculo de la Amistad).
All accepted and presented papers will be published in the Workshop proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore Digital Library , Scopus and Web of Science databases.
